Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland is the oldest and largest non-profit for artists with developmental, mental and physical disabilities. Since 1974, Creative Growth has played a significant role in increasing public interest in the artistic capabilities and achievements of people with disabilities, providing a professional studio environment for artistic development, gallery exhibition and representation.
Creativity Explored in San Francisco gives artists with developmental disabilities the means to create and share their work with the community, celebrating the power of art to change lives.
NIAD Art Center in Richmond is a unified community where everyone is included and art makes the individual and their story visible. Their artists are skilled professionals who exhibit work in contemporary galleries, participate in the community and earn money from selling art, through this their feelings of independence and and self esteem increase.
